Post History
Following WWI, local veterans formed American Legion Post 246 when its charter was issued on January 24, 1921. Throughout the years, Post 246 hosted many veterans and community social, recreational, educational, and government functions at the “Legion Hall”. ls State, and High School Oratorical Contests; and much more.
Today, Post 246 collaborates with eight other veterans service organizations as well as the Town of Danville to ensure that the Veterans Memorial Building continues to provide a benefit to our community.
